Fire Station No. 3 is located at 1100 Myrick Lane in Princeton, TX, just south of City Hall. The facility can accommodate six firefighters at full capacity and is home to Fire Engine 791 and Quint 793.

Project Details

Princeton’s newly constructed fire station will act as a second home for the city’s firefighters. Designed with a rustic atmosphere, the layout promotes operational efficiency and quick response time.

The 7,560 square-foot fire station was designed from a prefabricated metal building, completed with a brick façade, signage, and lighting for an aesthetically pleasing look.

The station accommodates two and a half drive-through apparatus bays, full kitchen and living area. Six private sleeping quarters with sliding barn doors, gym, offices and a 14-person training room round out the space.

RWB provided professional engineering services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for the new facility, which included a storm shelter. The back side of the building has various louvers to operate the mechanical systems.

In July 2020, the City of Princeton held a Fire Station Opening & Apparatus Push-In Ceremony for new station. The event included a cornerstone presentation from The Grand Lodge of Texas Officers and a formal ribbon cutting. Firefighters sprayed water over Quint 793 to commission the new firefighting apparatus prior to it being pushed into the station’s bay. The vehicle was dried with commemorative towels with the help of the community and firefighters.
